For A Friend

The worst pain is
   the invisible kind
the kind that doesn’t leave scars
   the bruises that don’t blacken
   the wounds that don’t bleed
the heart left in ashes and char
.
Don’t suffer in silence
Don’t hide in the crowd
Don’t dam up the tears which would be
.
Please, speak.
I’ll listen.
.
And together we’ll wait as your
unseen brokenness heals
.
